the CU one is corrupt. I downloaded it twice, once last night, then again today, and both times it won't play, doesn't list a run time, etc.

That is not what I said. I have been downloading from CU hot and heavy here the last couple weeks and they've all been fine. Sometimes the scanners act weird about subtitle files, but it's nothing. And all movies have played fine. This was the first one where the file was corrupt. Not a virus. Just broken.

That's right, but the other part about malware is definitely wrong. CnU is a great file hosting site and quite safe (especially if used with uBlock Origin).

Yes..the problem with this particular file, is that the upload was not completed. You can see that the file is 1.9gb but the CU link is only 1.5gb...so something went wrong during the upload process. It has happened before.
I have no idea what steven1 means..i have not encountered any problems with CU links.

The only slight but not really problem I've encountered is that Firefox doesn't like the .srt subtitle files that come from CU. Yet, for a couple days there, they had no alert. But now it's back to doing it again. I don't know why. None of the actual malware scanners ever report a problem, and I just scanned my entire movies folder again last night and the actual virus scanners report zero problems either. So I have no idea why Mozilla has a problem with the .srt files that come from CU. As was already stated, for your own protection you should be using stuff like uBlock Origin and NoScript anyway. But the vast majority of us still love CU!

Of course there are plenty of others admin could use too, such as send.cm, megaup.net, drop.download, gofile.io, bunkrr.su, down.fast-down.com, down.mdiaload.com, streamvid.net, upload.do, hexupload, etc. But we know how the game goes... half of these will have stopped working a couple months from now, so I have no problem with sticking to CU, which has worked fine for years!
