@thaone I can see why other people moan at you for saying stuff all in your comments. It gives no one a chance to say if the movie is any good or the rating for the download.
I think U just love to see your name in print.
U could just say once in awhile thank you for all the movies & tv series.

Well, I calculated the number of his 'thank you's over 3 hours one night and I don't believe an internet connection exists to support downloading all those files. Also, I've caught him thanking for bad, corrupt and mislabeled files. So I do believe it is his attempt to 'tag' as many posts as possible.
However, and my memory could be errant, but I remember him arguing with a troll over all his 'thank you's. Bots don't argue.

"He" is a bot, but trolls have impersonated him a few times with names that look the same but aren't.

He does his TY posts multiple times on the same upload (as here) and on multiple versions of the same film, something that no one would do if they were really downloading them.

Could ignore them except he flushes away all the real comments from the comment feed, which only shows the last 10 comments.

"Bearman" is almost as bad. he might be a real person, but does the same.

Used to be we could make real comments on real issues and at least warn others of problems, since the admins of the site stopped giving a shit a long time ago. Now the "General discussion" thread has been taken over by trolls who delight in pasting reams of gibberish, the small sense of community that was here a few years ago has been destroyed as anything we write just disappears almost immediately under layers of noise.

That's a good point, randomusername6977. So, bot using the account of thaone is probably not run by an admin, but just another troll. In addition to impersonators that TomMix mentioned, I believe the troll has used the account to make posts other than thanks.

Historically, thaone has not been a bot, but they have always used some automation

thaone is a low-level grunt team that works here, as well as under different account names, and on other sites

among others, thaone is partnered with RMZ

if RMZ wanted to ban activity of thaone and company, they very simply could, via Cloudflare and such

posts with real comments are valued, thus thaone and company post comments, mostly for SEO

posts by bots are not always valued, and can be detected by various networks, such as with Google

now that the captcha here is broken (which is owned by Google), another game is going on and/or has in-part ended, whereas most all posts from thaone may be bots now

RMZ is much more than the admin here, yet a very small part of a much larger team

the larger team's work involves SEO, data collection, propaganda, subterfuge, and more

every page and every comment on this site is collected and exploited by Google's and Facebook's bots, and thus that data is sold to others for many other things, often involving so-called advertising, sales and marketing

such data is often meaningless, but such as with Bitcoin, the value of such data can be inflated, to be sold/traded in various markets, most of which are not accessible by the general public

the game of inflating value on such data is in part why thaone posts so many comments here

although most of this data is junk, there is some real value

do you want a list of users who spend $500+ online per month?

do you want a list of users who use a specific set of software that can be exploited?

do you want a list of sites that can be exploited, as well as their users?

do you want the emails of certain users?

do you want all the contacts of a user?

do you want a full psychological profile of someone?

do you want to know the full history of where people go, all tracked by their cell phone?

do you want a private search engine that provides all this information and much more?

the supply and demand is all there, where some admin's find more value in insecurity than security, as they partner with sketchy groups, and point blame elsewhere as need be

With news of this and more, consider that some admins and devs conspire to allow so-called hackers into their systems, for various reasons.

Sadly, such corruption is likely rampant, with 'deals' being made off-line, such as at industry conventions, involving prostitutes, drugs, and hidden cameras.

But none of this is much of a threat, if your group has proper contingency plans beyond VAPT.
